It was originally proposed by Microsoft but never made it as a standard. It is supported by Apache Axis, and we are using it in one commercial product. The original patch I sent was just asking for a review by people that understood the rpc and SOAP stuff. That was the reason that I asked You to remove it after You had applied it a little to enthusiastically. This new patch has been used in production for more than 6 months now.
