Well if the OS doesn't support PAM, you cannot use it.
I guess that waht you mean here is that you want to authenticate
users agains the /etc/passwd file.
To do this you'd have to
a) Use the Mod: method of providing a user based
authentication module, i.e. an erlang module.
b) Write a program, linked in driver or external
program which takes two params, username and cleartext
password and checks it for validity and then call that
program over a Port from your auth module.
