Well, these revisions are file-based, so if somebody uses ERC from CVS 
and reports an error for module foo, we are interested in the revision 
of foo.el, not in the revision of erc.el.  If you are going to argue 
that those people will know how to use CVS anyway, then you might as 
well go all the way and remove all the revisions, including erc.el's.  
All we ever use it for is /sv-fest anyway...  ;)
