ok i think it is not a problem to have the behaviour (nearly) as it is 
now. the difference whould be, that the nicknames are printed when the 
server sends the end of names and not immediately, but i think thats no 
problem.

But what about the patch for the channel member modes? currently my nick 
listing code relies on it. should i seperate it? I would really like to 
see erc having support for additional user modes, as many irc networks 
make use of them.
