[Erc-help] Advising few commands ?

Hi,

Just  a question, I  am not  really familiar  with defadvice  stuff even
after reading documentation on that topic.

I would  like to  advise few commands  such as erc-cmd-WHOIS  to display
the result in a x-tooltip window instead of the current buffer.

I already have  such a function which I named TWHOIS  but I really would
like not  surcharging my .emacs with  overloaded function and  so I just
want to defadvice it.

Any hint on how to achieve this ?
