On the toolbars are a bunch of useful buttons for inserting typical symbols into your latex code, but the font is all too small for me to read on my screen. Is there a way to make that font larger? Or to zoom into the whole program?

You can set the Editor's font from preferences: Edit->Preferences->Editor.
The size of the Symbols from the toolbars can not be currently modified.
