#3 More elaborate budgetting capabilities

Hi. One thing that annoys me about most "budgeting" programs is how basic (if it exists at all) the future-planning capabilities of such programs are. At least Eqonomize has a basic monthly budget tracking capability, but I've found that a tad lacking. I posted a proposal for extending this functionality in the Open Discussion forums http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=3219445&forum_id=596897 but received no response in over a month. I basically wanted to know if it would be a waste of my time trying to implement such a thing. So I'm submitting a feature request in the hope that a developer will talk to me, at the very least to tell me I'm crazy and I'd be wasting my time.
