[Epydoc-devel] Should we drop metadata variables if recognized?

Hello,

now that many variables such as __version__ define modules metadata, wouldn't 
it be better to drop them from being documented as variables when they are 
recognized as tag alias?

This would be fine with me.  But if the value is an unexpected type, 
then epydoc should still list it under variables.
