I just tried working with the SVN head, but have the following error during 'python setup.py install':

The subversion head (revision 1800) now supports the
"--graph-image-format" option (and config file variable), whose values
can currently be "png," "gif," or "jpg."  I'd like to do more
investigation before I change the default format to png -- I seem to
remember some older versions of dot not supporting it.
