URLs are ignored in __license__ fields.

Instead of the expected hyperlink, the U{...} markup appears directly in the output.

Yes, any "__metadata__" fields are currently assumed to contain plaintext. If you want to use markup, you currently must use "@metadata:" fields inside your docstrings. I'm refiling this as a feature request, namely to add the ability to use markup in __metadata__fields.
