Hi all to the wiki for epimetric.

The basic idea of the project is to take open data on medical prescriptions, GIS information, demographics/census information and plot time-series maps of drug prescriptions, ideally to then infer future health trends based on prescribing patterns.

The starting point is to enable the search (and mapping) 0ver England/Wales (then UK) prescribing data from GP's and community health prescribers for a range of medicines, using open data, searching by post code, and then building from there.

For example, overlaying information on adjacent postcodes, other prescribers, related medicines, demographics, GIS information...
