In my enthusiasm the other day to do fancy stuff with layout in the Guidelines, I wrapped (in some pages)
<div rend="tag-defs">
around the paragraph that contains the speclist at the top of many pages. It now appears that this breaks example processing with the result that garbage gets written into example blocks, rather that the stylesheet outputs as expected.
The extra construct needs to be backed out of the following files:
idx-geognames.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
supp-descdecor.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
supp-descdimensions.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
supp-descletters.xml:<div rend="tag-defs">
supp-descobject.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
supp-description.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
supp-desctext.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
supp-histfound.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
supp-histlocations.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
supp-histmodern.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
supp-historigdate.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
supp-historigin.xml: <div rend="tag-defs">
Problem seems to have gone away
