I would ask you to remove my site from the list of the Official eNvolution Support. The reason of my decision are the last events in the leadership, which I do not accept, especially changing the Roadmap without deriving the community opinion and asking it for approve the changes. I think the only discourse of several people on IRC channel is not enough, especially that the news according to the Roadmap was published earlier. Before decide about it ir should be made any public opinion poll or any question addressed to the users or so one... I think the community cannot be ignored. This mistake was made by other project leaders and developers and it has not increased their and theirs projects popularity. Envolution Project includes a lot of people disppointed with the CMSs like PostNuke or PHPNuke and their developing ways, they have moved to eNvolution because only it has promissed the active contribution of community in the project develop. Changing the Roadmap with no community opinion you have clearly shown that you do not intend to respect it. Also inner contests happening last time on envolution-devel mailing list have not to do with the project developing, they are just the war which doesn't bring on anything new nor good. I think also the redirecting of provious sites' URLs to the new ones like "www.germany.envolution.com" is not a good idea, mostly because any envonet site webmaster wouldn't have any warranty the site would not be redirected to the other site if he makes something you don't like. Reading last posts on envolution-devel I see you don't respect the merits of people who have made a lot for the Project. I'm not going to stop my site but I want to support eNvolution for the Polish Community unofficilly and in my own way. I don't think I will lose anything doing this, because the help and support from you is comparable to the naught, you are too busy only with your inner accounts to serve any help to international supporters. A month ago I made the same decision about the PHPNuke Support Site and I must say the site has just gained by it - a lot of users have not agreed with the FB's politics and disclaiming the Official Support I just earned popularity and more active user's contribution in the site development. I consider also that after TiMax leaving you should show you can maintain everything what has been done up to now, and not to make the revolution changing everything possible - eNvolution is has not yet the position strong enough to lose the popularity among regular users and Community Members. On the end I would like to tell that I'm not going to judge or attack anybody personally - that is only my privat opinion of the recent eNvolution situation, so please do not me attack too. Best Regards and Good Luck |
