The server is not local to me. It's hosted. So when uplaoding and
merging the tables phpMyAdmin dies.

I tried ftping the sql dump and running it from the command line but
MySQL dais the insert statements from the old dump were not recognized
by the new version of MySQL and referred nme to the new manual.

I got the old database installed and merged this morning about 730AM so
now I'm just getting ready to get everyiht g restored but honestly Im
bust trying to put out all the fires with emails Im getting from people
who are upset. Remember this all happen so quickly and people are not
giving enough consideration to the effort and time required to merge the
DB, change the DNS, transfer the domains, etc etc.

The reregister idea was to give people some outlet to ccommunicate
opther than this list. I recieved emails stating it would be better to
put up a bare site instead of leaving up a blank HTML page. So thats
what I did.

Once I finish the restoration I hope people will calm down and not be so
impatient. You would think this was a life or death situation from some
of the emails I received.
