[Envolution-devel] Borobudur3D Templating System idea

Before post article about this subject in eNvo.com, I want to let you all 
know about the Borobudur3D idea first. I hope this idea can be implemented 
in the next eNvo 1.3 version.

We already have rich theming system, zoning etc in current system, and now I 
think we can move a step further. Borobudur3D is a multi theme and 
templating system, which can be run under default theme such as Michelangelo 
or the Borobudur itself. Besides the ability to create different templates 
same as other eNvo themes, now this system also has the nested themes and 
templates, themes inside a theme. Since it has depth layout customization 
thats why I named it as Borobudur3D.

The target of this system is not only for themes layout purpose, its 
intended to allow user to choose his own group and main content. For i.e 
member of Modules Group can get all the modules news as their main page. 
This can be implemented for departments in corporate, university for 
students subject groups or any web content which has various groups of 
members. For commercial purpose, we can locate different banners targeted to 
spesific groups. And sure marketing people will like a lot this features :)

This system already installed in my site www.uiarch.org, You can try to 
change your channel from the My Account page. If you choose Modules channel 
then you will have the modules news as your main page with Michelangelo 
theme. If you choose english tutorial channel, you will have the Piterpan 
theme.

This idea came, since I'm too lazy to learn the multisite stuff, since it 
seems lot of settings and besides that have not enough time to maintain 
several sites even it can share some db. By this system I can manage some 
different groups from the same admin pages.

The next step I want to contribute on Members List modules, adding the group 
listing and the ability for admin to choose which group shown or not from 
the site visitors. And if possible it can be integrate with address book 
module, where all valuable users inforamtion are stored based on its 
grouping.
