Hi @all, some users ask, if it would be possible to set the colors for = 'Michelangelo', 'Experience' (and others) after installation with a = drop-down box or something else. My idea: We can include in Administration::Settings::Encompass = [Design-configuration] all pre-defined color-schemas and over an option = field the admin can select which of them he want, i.e.: Color-schemas: BGColor1....BGColo6 | Seperator | Text1 | Text2 | Action | = Select-option-field -------------------------------------------------------------------------= ------------------------------------- green colors blue red brown violett ..... After select the option the new color codes will be stored into database = like admin had finished the configuration part. What do you think about, WindMeUp |

BAD idea. Never limit a webmaster to only certain colors. Stick to the = way it is now. You select the Hex value or recognized color name. = Maybe the manual for encompass module for admin be edited to include URL = links to sites that help with hex color codes and swatches. ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Stefan Koehler=20 To: env...@li...=20 Sent: Thursday, February 20, 2003 7:29 AM Subject: [Envolution-devel] default color-codes for themes Hi @all, some users ask, if it would be possible to set the colors for = 'Michelangelo', 'Experience' (and others) after installation with a = drop-down box or something else. I think it was not clear what I meant. I try it once more. If you install i.e. Michelangelo the first time (or re-install it), you get on top of the page an option box, where you can select your default color schema (blue, green, brown, etc.) If you want to change these scheme, you have first re-install the complete theme and destroy other settings you have perhaps done. Better it would be you can change color schemas in encompass-admin. These schemas are not fix, only default. You can get it as is - or change the hex values over "Color Settings::configure". Otherwise we can prepare some more color combinations. OK. I will make a snapshot and you can see what I mean. WindMeUp |

Okay granted they do not know what bgcolor1 controls how about making 'bgcolor1, bgcolor2, etc links to the manual with a bookmark ... manual.htm#bgcolor1 and explain what it controls. Creating schemas only limits a webmaster's look and feel freedom. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christoph Schwaeppe" <Chr...@t-...> To: <env...@li...> Sent: Thursday, February 20, 2003 4:04 PM Subject: Re: [Envolution-devel] default color-codes for themes Would be ok, if any webmaster would be a hex-artist in combining colours.
