[Envolution-devel] i resign from eNvolution

Sorry boy but i m tired and i resign from all of eNvolution,  i m tired to=
 see these comments, i m tired to work for 18 
hours each day for eNvolution project and receive only a bads and stupids=
 comments, and also from people don't active in 
developement.

I m tired to be always a destination of all bads comments, so i resign and i=
 start my own project where i think i m able 
to add all i want in my sites  i hope.

And you know when someone do it for passion ..... bad comments are very bad=
 comments.

I give you one week if someone want to continue my work and found another=
 servers to host eNvolution project and related 
site, now i use 4 servers + sourgeforge server + Stefan server to make a=
 backup. 
When someone are ready i can send it all backups and bla bla bla.

We agreed that should you not wish continue to run envo that you would
turn it back over to Brian, Brandon, and me. We have the server
resources to host it on.

eNvolution is on the right way and it would be stupid to kill that project

Max is serious but I think if we all show him some support then perhaps
he won't quit.

No matter what happens though the project won't die. Max doesn't want
that to happen either.

Perhaps he just needs a break.

So everyone knows...and I do not want to argue about it or debate it.  I
raised my concerns in open view to the whole community about hard coding
commercial links into the installation which would profit one developer.

His arguement was that he invest and large amount of money into the servers
and never asked for money so he felt he deserved the right to do that.  I
recall a great deal of heat over a discussion about not wanting to appear
commercialist in anyway.

I made my comments open because it affected the whole community and their
opinion was needed not just the people on this list.

I may be wrong in my actions who knows.  It was only my opinion.

Hello,

I see the arguments of both sides now and really don't cast my support
either way.  But I do think it can be resolved without Max resigning and
creating more bad blood...please everybody just take a breath, a vacation,
or whatever you want to call it...clear your mind and think about it before
making rash movements that could hurt the community.

First is not my arguement ... we have talked a lot about it with Stefan,=
 Zoom Sjah etc to found also good word to use 
.....  maybe if you are a little better active you can check it better,also=
 because it is in cvs from a couple of 
months.

We have add two links because these company help our project with host=
 server, services of backup etc ... 
and all people have see that, approved it .....

... only you come after two months to put pubblic comment in envolution.com=
 site ...... good

What for commercial links do you mean?
There are no commercial links.
The only links at the end of installation routine are the link to maxsos and
gah.
We don't make any money with these links and we get no money from the
companies for it.
But they gave us TIME to bring up eNvolution to which it is today.
Only in our spare time as hobbyist we wouldn't have create it.
This is only to say a "little thanks for your understanding".

This has nothing to do with prophit, even if maxsos is the company of TiMax
(what everybody knows).

And I think this short explaination is enough. We don't discuss it in
details.
Nobody else has problems with this links (I heart no other comments up to
now).

You can say thank you without promoting one's business.  If it's money
include a donation link for paypal where funds go toward the server bill.  I
object only to hard coded commercial links that benefit on a personal level.
He is angry with me because I chose to comment in public where others views
can be heard not just the dev team.

today you never asked for money.  That was your deal.  Can't say that I

Hi Denver,

I would like you to know the different between take a direct profit for 
personal benefit and the promotion links.

If you put your name, links, banners in envo [anywhere in source code, site 
etc] then TiMax ask you to pay then the money goes to TiMax pocket, it means 
TiMax take a direct profit for his own benefit. In this case, you or all of 
our community have the right to concern. But he did not do that way!

If you open all code sources you will find a promotion links around. 
Whatever the target are, to promote your self as hobbyst, professionals etc, 
anybody who involved in envo community has the right to put their promotion 
links, as long as they contribute with this community.

Contribution to the opensource can behalf on your personal name, your 
company name or your friends name. All of these are legal as long as you are 
not paying anything or get paid for anything.

Promotion links are not always intend for commercial target. There are lot 
of opensource people who want to build the network communities, exploring 
their hobby, skill contribute it to community for free.

I'm running my own business over than ten years, there is a Chinese word I 
always keep in my mind: never calculate others fortune, just see your own 
hand. As an Indonesian I have my own philosophy, I always start my day based 
on my feeling, my faith and trust.
