Hello Friends, There are many changes happening behind the scenes right now in regard to moving the servers and adjusting DNS settings for envolution sires and resources. I would ask you to please be patient as we move forward. I know from past experience that changes such as this take place in an open source project many people get nervous and worried. There is no need to worry Envolution lives on and is strong. After DNS propagates we can all meet and chat about development and changes that are certainly coming. Everyones input is appriciated and sorely needed. You can meet on the Envolution IRC channel at irc.envolution.com port 6667 in channel #envolution once the DNS propagates. Things will be slow on IRC until everyone can reach it and leanr about it but once it gets going I think it will bring us all closer together. Eric Barr a.k.a ApathyBoy is the new Project Manager for Envolution. He will need, and be appriciative of, your thoughts and suggestions. So please do not hesiatate to contact him via AIM instant messenger with his screenname "apathynight" or via email at apa...@ap... I'm sure we will be having a meeting sometime this weekend to discuss matters and reorganize. In the meantime I need each member who wishes to particpate in development to email me perosnally with their SourceForge login name so I can add you to the developer list at SourceForge. This is also a good way to determine who is active and who is inactive. Currently CVS will be frozen to clean up the repositories and allow SF staff to clear out a few stale locks which have caused some problems lately with CVS. Once the websites are reloacted and DNS changes take place we should get back up to speed rather quickly. In the short term (next 48-72 hours) there may be periods of downtime while server transfers take place. Thanks, Zoom |

Does this affect www.envolution.com group permissions or am I observing precautionary lockout procedures during site transfer and propagation. > > He will need, and be appriciative of, your thoughts and suggestions. Hi my Sourceforge login name is elgie and I see I'm not a promoter any longer and that I have been made a developer. Wow and I've yet to make a single commit yet. > This is also a good > way to determine who is active and who is inactive. Wow and I've yet to make > a single commit yet. Same deal as above. CVS access should be closed for everyone until SF gets around to answering the support request to fix the stale locks. After we find out who is active and clean up the repositories CVS access will be restored. The label SF has is nothing but a simple label....whether or not your committed to CVS is irrelevant we are all developers in one sense of the word. I've referred crazy4bass to you for some tips on multisites since you are the multisite guru...check his post in the forums. BTW...good morning! Zoom |
