Last week TiMax the envolution pm resigned...
The assets of the project was given to Zoom ad interim and then to =
ApathyBoy the new envolution pm...
I completely respect this. They all are the co-founders of the =
envolution project (plus madhatter not mentioned above)...
Some deseases on the envolution.com and the envolution network were =
reported in the change of servers and account and sincerely (even if for =
someone in a programmers community is totally unacceptable!) I =
understand also this cause nobody knows what heck each of us has to do =
in his life...
Now all the old site resources and forums are restored...
What defenitively LACKS is the developers community!!!
I recently entered in the envolution development team and openitalia =
staff (the international and the italian communities of envolution =
developers)... I partecipate a little in some of the 1.2 improvements =
that were out in the 1.25FLS release... I was interested to improve the =
overall performances and give envo a full w3c standard compliance (in =
particular xhtml and css) and a better output code... I was added as =
co-author (with the original author TiMax) of the Michelangelo theme set =
as default theme in the 1.25FLS release...
Now I don't figure anymore in the envolution development team...
Nobody asked me what were I doing in the project neither if I was =
interested in continuing the development... if I have some suggestion... =
if I am...
I spent a lot of my rare free time in trying to see if someone in this =
damned mailing list give an orientation to the devteam and the future of =
the project... but this ML seems to be a speaker's corner in Hide =
Park...
all topics are allowed, like flames, but the envolution future and =
developement... maybe because there's nothing to discuss about... a =
roadmap was already imposed... the developers team doesn't exist =
anymore... all other questions are demanded to a big IRC war...
I won't partecipate to the IRC meeting:
1st - cause I don't linke IRC... as a professional I don't have time for =
chat
2nd - as I experienced chat discussion don't have head and footer and =
are absolutely inadeguate for discussing about a project which means =
ponderate different proposal, re-discuss self ideas and positions...
....
When I joined the envolution project I made a bet cause I really have =
few resouces to dedicate in it but I was sure that the community will =
have appreciated my modest help...
I was wondered why Apathyboy and Madhatter who wrote a critical part of =
the envolution code (envrender and encompass) didn't partecipate anymore =
at the developement...
Now they're back!!!
I don't care what happened before (cause they left) and what's happening =
now between the co-founders but this should not affect the Project...
This is my point of view... maybe I'm right maybe I'm wrong... but =
surely nobody will care my words... defenitively I'm a ghost!!!
