Depends on how stable it is. Quite like the idea that the .1 increments represent releases with new features but are likely to need further testing to tease out all the bugs, whilst .2 releases are considered stable versions of the latest features and fixes releases. So 1.2.1 if we are expecting a few more bugs to emerge and 1.2.2 if we think that we are virtually bug-free. At firsttime installation the blocktitles of standard blocks (mainmenu, who's online, language, etc.) are stored in the database in that language, which are selected on 1st page of installation. If the administrator wants to offer more then his selected language, he has to copy the blocks into new language. For example: selected language: german All blocks, adminPanel and Admin message is in german (for all languages) WindMeUp ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christoph Schwaeppe" <Chr...@t-...> To: <env...@li...> Sent: Sunday, March 09, 2003 8:25 PM Subject: [Envolution-devel] language support Would it be possible to change all the blocks also to the new language, if you are changing to another language? I think we don't need the image clue for reviews anymore. With RTE everybody has the possibility to upload images for his review. Hi all, Is anyone from the eNvolution team thinking of attending the third OSCOM conference May 28-30? OSCOM 3 will be in Cambridge at the Harvard Law School Berkman Center for Internet and Society. See http://www.oscom.org/Conferences/Cambridge. I am one of the conference organizers It's a great chance for you to meet other developers of Open-Source Content Management Systems and hear experts on some big issues like Open-Source licensing, XML/RDF/Semantic Web, etc. Paper proposals are due March 15. The conference is being planned on the web. Current proposals are at http://www.oscom.org/Conferences/Cambridge/Proposals/ You can add your comments to these proposals to help choose who gets to present. You might subscribe to the OSCOM mailing lists <http://www.oscom.org/Mailing%20lists/> to hear what is going on. Especially the Participants <http://lists.oscom.org/mailman/listinfo.cgi/participants> list. Even if you can't attend, you might participate virtually by preparing some thoughts (what makes eNvolution special as a CMS, or where is CMS development going in your opinion) for inclusion on the website. Please mention the opportunity to any of your friends who work in CMS. -- Bob Doyle http://www.skyBuilders.com 77 Huron Avenue Cambridge, MA 02138 617-876-5678 |
