Does it say:
"A database update is required before Enterprise Manager can be used"
or
"The database update script must be run before Enterprise Manager can be used. [blah]"?
The first indicates the upgrade.mdb file is calling for an update. The second means you didn't run the most recent update script.
Also, 1542 is posted now and may solve you problem since it has both.

Hm, I must have done something wrong this morning when I did the 1542 update. I downloaded the 1542 EM zip and unzipped it to the EM folder, downloaded the skript update and ran it. Now that I'm looking at the EM folder 1542 isn't in there. I unzipped it again and now 1542 is in there and I'm good to go. Sorry about the false alarm. :(

1531 is telling me that an update is required everytime I open it or import from CV.

Is it possible you already unzipped 1542 but are still running the 1531 exe?
