Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3794207 By: nobody Hi, It has taken me many months to find retail/enterprise software that looks as good as Wavelet EMP (and I have tried many including Compiere, opentaps, and SQL Ledger, among others). However, I know nothing about jsp/tomcat/ant etc and am having trouble setting up a demo for myself on my Linux box. Is there any documentation aiding installation? Or is there a demo site available? Thanks ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3793278 By: nobody Hi, user friendliness is very subjective. Let's focus on the features and not te chnology. What are the features that Wavelet has that stands out against Compiere? Are there any fact sheers or feature list that we can refer to? TQ. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3792853 By: nobody Wavelet is 100% web-based. Wavelet is not thick client java apps like compiere. Wavelet is much more user friendly. Wavelet focuses on chainstore and franchises. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. With many thanks for your participation, Benno Luthiger PS: The results of the survey will be published under http://www.isu.unizh.ch/fuehrung/blprojects/FASD/. We have set up the mailing list fa...@we... for this study. Please see http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/mailinglist_en.html for registration to this mailing list. _______________________________________________________________________ Benno Luthiger Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich 8092 Zurich Mail: benno.luthiger(at)id.ethz.ch _______________________________________________________________________ |

Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=2266010 By: sunnxyz Hello to all! This is my first post here. It is a pleasure to be working on this project! Jboss is a real b**** when it comes to finding relevant documentation, the least they can do is give the system requirements for installation. Just for record, you need JDK 1.3.1 or higher to install JBoss 3.2. A nice introductory tutorial on using JBoss Jumping Into JBoss http://www.developer.com/java/ejb/article.php/3071661 Did anyone else run into any difficulties when configuring JBoss? What JDK's (IBM, Sun..) have you tried to run JBoss With? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
