I was trying to find a way to associate a .etxt file with your jar. It is either not possible, or it is a top-secret process. I came across an open-source tool "Jarx", which takes jar files and makes them into executables, which can have file associations. I don't know anything else about Jarx, but thought it would be a cool easy way to open .etxt files without having to launch your jar with "java -jar" and then browse to the .etxt in the Open File dialog. Something to consider..

Actually, I looked again at Jarx, and maybe not such a good option, as it appears to be microsoft only. I use Ubuntu and Debian…
