Looks like there isn't an official package for Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/614419 But I found a package at a PPA: https://launchpad.net/~blk/+archive/ppa I didn't test it. I've added a check on configure.ac for version 2.80, but most probably it will works fine with 2.78 (this package version). If it works fine, please feel free to modify this version check upstream. If it doesn't work, let me know, so I will provide instruction on how to build it, or possibly package it tomorrow.
