I decided to try an older engineer who doesn't code anymore's approach. Don't laugh. Since 66218 worked (for me) and 66220 didn't (for me), I looked at the changeset for 66220 and tried to undo the changes by removing the added lines and restoring the removed lines. Didn't compile. Downloaded the source from 66220, and tried to replace e/src/modules/conf_display and e/src/modules/conf_randr in 66220 with the those from 66218. Didn't compile. Replaced trunk/e from 220 with trunk/e from 218, it started E but the version shown in Enlightenment About was wrong. Replaced e/src/modules in 220 with e/src/modules from 218. Compiled, and restarted E without problem. Downloaded 66347, again replaced e/src/modules with e/src/modules from 66218. Compiled and restarted E without problems and showed the version at 66347. So, I believe that the problem, for me, had to do with the changes made in 66220, probably having to do with randr. I wish I could fix this but I'm not sure of how to code the changes. How'd I do?
