Guys I'm working in Dimitry's E17-svn_20100516_r48925-3.2 rpms for opensuse 11.0 and I am experiencing segfaults regularly. I finally had to give up configuring my ibox and favorites applications because E17 segfaults every time I move, add or change ibox or favorites apps. Also, when I rt-click on the panel for Shelf1->Shelf Settings and then click on the settings window that appears, I get segfaults then as well about ~30% of the time. Some of the crashes, cause a complete shutdown and restart xdm. The syslog errors look like this: May 22 15:55:21 alchemy kernel: enlightenment[4847]: segfault at 7f4e1c765a60 ip 7f4e1c765a60 sp 7f4d509fa0f8 error 15 May 22 15:55:24 alchemy kernel: [fglrx] GART Table is not in FRAME_BUFFER range May 22 15:55:24 alchemy kernel: [fglrx] Maximum main memory to use for locked dma buffers: 3679 MBytes. May 22 15:55:24 alchemy kernel: [fglrx] Reserved FB block: Shared offset:0, size:1000000 May 22 15:55:24 alchemy kernel: [fglrx] Reserved FB block: Unshared offset:7ffb000, size:5000 May 22 16:03:35 alchemy kernel: enlightenment[5725]: segfault at 7f6fa4524390 ip 7f6fa4524390 sp 7f6ed80170f8 error 15 May 22 16:03:38 alchemy kernel: [fglrx] GART Table is not in FRAME_BUFFER range May 22 16:03:38 alchemy kernel: [fglrx] Maximum main memory to use for locked dma buffers: 3679 MBytes. May 22 16:03:38 alchemy kernel: [fglrx] Reserved FB block: Shared offset:0, size:1000000 May 22 16:03:38 alchemy kernel: [fglrx] Reserved FB block: Unshared offset:7ffb000, size:5000 I don't think the fglrx messages are related, but I left them for completeness. The other crashes are the run-of-the-mill "Press F1 to Recover" and then E17 comes back to life. For example, if I try to move an icon in ibox 2 positions to the left/right, then E17 will crash with the "Press F1 to Recover" -- but, the icon would have been correctly moved to the new spot. In all other respects, E17 is running like a dream. I have tried this with the default theme as well as with the present theme - same results. What to test? What to try? What other info can I provide? Seriously, if you want me to run additional tests or provide more information, I'm happy to do it. I really enjoy E and would like to get this problem sorted out.
