I recently reformatted my laptop (Toshiba Tecra 8100) which was
"borrowed" by our Windoze-using sales team at work and reinstalled
RedHat 7.2. Before they mercilessly installed Windows on it, it had been
running RedHat & E (16.5) without any problems. Well, now, whenever I
restart E or change themes, it hangs, with the spinning clock as my
pointer, and never goes anywhere. If I kill X and restart it, the theme
has changed, but obviously this is very annoying.
I'm running kernel 2.4.9-31, with all the RedHat patches.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
