So I was sitting on my box one day looking for new E themes and GTK
themes to play with (I've been using blueheart for way too long now =) )
and I came across this cute ShinyBlue etheme over at
e.classic.themes.org. It was for 16.4 but from everything I knew at the
time 16.4 themes should work just fine. So I dropped it into the themes
dir for E (/usr/X11R6/share/enlightenment/themes) E normally
uncompresses the .etheme files in there (last I checked). I then went to
restart E to get the new listing and let it unpack the theme. Well, cute
little clock cursor comes up and just decided to never go away, E
wouldn't fully restart. I killed E and xdm reset, but E wouldn't start
again. I wiped all traces of the etheme and cleaned up my .enlightenment
dir, eventually I got E to start again (E was pausing at 91% and doing
something, what I don't know). So E starts now for all users but won't
restart. I let it go all night once and when I woke up some 8 hours
later, it was still sitting there with the clock icon.
Ideas on where to start for fixing this? I'm running FreeBSD 4.5-release
latest port of E.16.5. I've recompiled E (and encountered all sorts of
fun when gettext-devel became gettext and the old gettext package became
gettext-old!). I'd love to get E working again because I just can't
stand sitting in gnome + sawfish anymore. Is there a way to see what E
is hanging on, or a way to get E to be a tad verbose on restart?
Any help would be appreciated.
