Hi, >How many people have sound events enabled in Enlightenment ?? If you do, >but don't know how to turn them off, please say so. I'm looking for people >who *want* sound events or have purposely enabled them. I use sounds in E about half of the time. On my older laptop, I use esd, but have never found a way to completely automate the "resuming" of sounds after a laptop APM resume. If I could do that, I would probably be using sound events 80% of the time. I like the sound events! atleast keep the option maybe not the sound files themselves. Maybe like an icon packet or something. Justin |

How many people have sound events enabled in Enlightenment ?? If you do, but don't know how to turn them off, please say so. I'm looking for people who *want* sound events or have purposely enabled them. There's a discussion going on in regards to reducing the size of E's download and this "feature" is one thing that's been brought up... Regards Hall |

I've had it "wrap" from 1 to 2 (by "pushing" the right "edge") and when desktop 2 appears, I'd accidently move the mouse just a hair to much to the left and go back to 1. Got kinda annoying. Okay, just to be sure, I use *virtual* desktops with E and not *multiple* desktops. You say it works with "virtual", but Alan says "It's the same thing than area wraparound (for virtual desktops)", so I'm kinda confused. If this applies to virtual desktops, I'd be very interested in it. Before I update from CVS, anything else been applied or fixed in the past week since 0.16.6 was released ?? I'm patient and if more things are planned soon, I'll wait. Hall |

It lets you go the the last desktop when you go to the previous desktop while being in the first one (and vice versa). It's the same thing than area wraparound (for virtual desktops). I am having an issue with Fancy Launcher. It made successfully, and ran the help screen fine, although it will not stay running. I run it from the epplet menu it just disappears after it starts running. and it's not the transparency setting either. Justin |

Folks, I gotta quirk (yes, it may be the loose nut behind the wheel). When I activate MozillaFirebird from an Enlightenment menu, and try to activate a *.pdf file on websites, the pdf loads, then MFB and Acroread crash. When I activate MozillaFirebird under Enlightenment from a terminal prompt, all works well, including calling up pdfs from within the browser. I've also noticed that some programs won't start up from an Enlightenment menu until I've first activated them from a terminal...then the menu entry works fine. Has anyone else seen this? As I said, it was a point release. None of the actual code changed at all. It was really just for people who had path/naming issues with the old RPM. Debian folks and others not using RPM's need not upgrade. Such is not the case, however, with epplets. :-) Michael -- Michael Jennings (a.k.a. Hello, Something weird happened to my Enlightenment this morning. Alt+Tab stopped working properly. I use Virtual Desktops and when I press Alt+Tab the focus goes to another virtual desktop, despite of swithing to another window in the virtual desktop I'm using. For example, with Evolution and GnomeICU open in v. desktop #4, when I press Alt+Tab the focus goes to an Eterm in v. desktop #2. The Alt+Tab section in keybindings.cfg looks like this: __NEXT_ACTION __KEY Tab __MODIFIER_KEY __ALT __EVENT __KEY_PRESS __ACTION __A_FOCUS_NEXT And my enlightenment verion is: Enlightenment Version: 0.16.6 Last updated on: $Date: 2003/10/04 13:14:53 $ Anyone knows what might be wrong? -- +---------------------------------------------------+ | Alvaro Nunes Melo Atua Sistemas de Informacao | | al_...@at... www.atua.com.br | | UIN - 42722678 (54) 327-1044 | +---------------------------------------------------+ |

I don't see a Fnlib source newer than 2002-04-04. Thanks for the update in Epplets!! Thanks, Brad |

To correspond with today's release of Enlightenment 0.16.6, version 0.7 of the epplets library API and base set of tools has been released as well. All users of epplets are encouraged to upgrade to this new version. A point release of Fnlib was also made to correct some packaging issues in the RPM file. New RPM's, SRPM's, and tarballs for both packages are now available at: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2 Michael -- Michael Jennings (a.k.a.
