Hey, I have created an SDK for the EFL. It is a zip file which contains: * MSYS (configured) * most useful tools for MSYS * autotools (m4, autoconf, automake and libtool. No gettext) * MinGW (gcc 4.5.0) * dependencies for the EFL What is missing: * gdb (i'll add it soon) * pthread * secured tools (openssl, gnutls) * network tools (c-ares, libcurl) Basically, what you have to do to compile the EFL with that SDK on Windows is: 1) unzip the file below in c:\ or a subdirectory ***containing NO space*** http://www.maths.univ-evry.fr/pages_perso/vtorri/files/msys.zip it creates the subdirectories msys/1.0/ 2) launch /path/msys/1.0/msys.bat it will launch the MSYS terminal and create the home/ subdirectory in /path/msys/1.0 3) download tortoiseSVN and check out the EFL in your home (for example in the subdirectory /path/msys/1.0/home/efl/ you need the EFL listed in http://trac.enlightenment.org/e/wiki/EFLWindowsXP 4) configure with just ./autogen.sh (like in the wiki above) with the MSYS terminal. All the EFL will be installed in the prefix /usr/local If you are interested, please give it a try and report any problem. Also, feel free to give remarks, ask questions, etc... regards Vincent |

People are welcome to help me, of course regards Vincent |

I just add pthread files to be able to build evas. And I have compiled sucessfully Cython an python-evas on windows with your SDK ! I have download Python2.6 for windows, and following this documentation : http://wiki.cython.org/InstallingOnWindows I will try to build more python bindings, and I hope to have editje running on Windows ! Vincent you have done (alone) an incredible good work ! I just add pthread files to be able to build evas. Ok, I'll add it. Anyway, you can build evas without pthread support. Just disable the support with configure options. > And I have compiled sucessfully Cython an python-evas on windows with your SDK ! > I have download Python2.6 for windows, and following this documentation : > http://wiki.cython.org/InstallingOnWindows I don't remember if i saw that page or not. Anyway, it's not just cython that is the problem. See below. > I will try to build more python bindings, and I hope to have editje > running on Windows ! the problem is that ecore_win32 must have a python binding (iirc), and after that, ecore_evas binding should use it on Windows. And if possible, everything must be done upstream. But i won't be able to do it. > Vincent you have done (alone) an incredible good work ! Thanks a lot :) Thank you :-) Vincent |
