The Enigmail Developer's To-Do List

Things we plan do do or would like to have them done. Please volunteer by contacting us!

Development

• Synchronization of OpenPGP keys across multiple devices. The idea is to create a specific IMAP folder, into which synchronization information is written. Other devices will read the log and sync accordingly.
• Unit Test. Enigmail source code is quite stable, but often not quite easy to read and understand. We do have a unit test framework and some example unit tests, but we do lack unit tests for almost all parts of the code. We think this is a gap that should be filled as it increases the software quality.

Infrastructure

• Update Handbook Our handbook is outdated. Please help updating it!
• A new homepage. Our homepage is 7 years old, and completely written in PHP. We would like a new web site built on a CMS with a responsive design.
• Convert Help to online version The program has build-in help strings in many languages. These should be editable by contributors any time. Language maintainers should verify changes and release versions to be accessed online from within Thunderbird.
• A logo! Enigmail does not have a good, distinctive logo yet. We think this should be addressed.
