Emails sent from one of my account to another have an unverified signature warning. Why?

I recently switched mail providers, and sent a message from one of my
addresses to another to make sure everything worked fine.

However, Enigmail for Thunderbird reports that the signature for the
message is bad (unless I encrypt the message, then everything is fine.)

Attached is the debug log after opening a message that failed the
    verification.

What is happening, and how can I fix it?

Try to verify the signature of the sent message (i.e. in the "Sent" folder). If that's OK, then the message was modified after it was sent during transport.

The sent message has an ok signature indeed. So this is most likely because of the new email provider? Or could it be because of my local configuration (Thunderbird or what have you)?

It's hard to say why the signature is invalid on the receiver side. What is certain, is that the message was somehow modified after it was sent. This can be your new provider, it can be your old provider, or any Mail Tansfer Agent in between. It is for sure not you local configuration, or an error in Engmail.
