My colleague sent me his public key in an ASCII file, #######.ASC. When I try to import this key into Enigmail using Key Management|File|Import Keys from File, I get a window that says, "Enigmail Confirm, Import ###### ####@###.### (C...KeyID here...FD)?" When I click OK I get an Enigmail Alert that says, "No keys imported."
Can someone help me here? How can I fix this problem and get this key into Enigmail?

I see. That's a very old key that your version of GnuPG cannot handle any longer. Your colleague should better create a new key, as modern versions of GnuPG (and other OpenPGP software) don't handle such old keys.

This looks like GnuPG cannot import the key. Open a command line, and enter the following command:
What does GnuPG report?
Thanks Patrick. It says, "gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: skipped PGP-2 keys: 1"
