I have the following Enigmal problem:
On my MX Linux system, everything seems to be fine but I cannot upload my pub key. The message says: No WKS identity found. Also, the Setup Wizard does not proceed as in the manual. Instead, it says that GnuPG has been found and that I can apply my keys. Not other options are available. I can set up everything fine manually but when I do a test with the Adele bot, it does not recognize my pub key even if I attach it. Can anybody help? Will be greatly appreciated.

Please note that I am a beginner. I have seen under my Linux key management that there are two GnuPG keys: an EdDSA key for signing and an ECDH key for encryption. Only the former is exported when I use the Export option in Enigmail. Could this be part of the problem?

WKS (Web Key Service) is a service that your email provider needs to set up. So far, only very few providers do this, and your provider is likely one of them.
I would recommend that you use the function "Upload to Keyserver" and use the key server keys.openpgp.org.
Concerning Adele: I'm not sure that it still works correctly. In any case, you need to attach your own key if you send a message to Adele - it won't look up your key on WKS or keyservers.

We're currently rolling out WKD internally, but I get the same error for an already existing key that had been imported. What do I have to do to fix the problem behind this The key Foo Bar <foobar@example.com> does not have a WKS identity. message?

Sorry, please ignore the additional info above. That's just the usual key pair, I assume...

Thanks a lot for your reply, Patrick!
I'll try that and might come back if I have further questions.
Thx
Bernd

The key Foo Bar <foobar@example.com> does not have a WKS identity.
message? The problem in this case is that sending the key to the WKS server using GnuPG failed. Check the Enigmail debug log file for details about the error.
