So I am having a small problem. I had setup a keypair for my email. I forgot the passphrase a week later so created a NEW keypair for the SAME email.

I sent my public key to my friends and encrypted my email and he got it and was able to decrypt it fine. Then he sends me an email that's encrypted and I try to open it.

Everytime I try to decrypt the email message I get "Error - secret key needed to decrypt message"

I have a feeling it might be that my system is somehow loading my old private key? Everything else works fine as mentioned above, but I can't decrypt his email.

Now how would I go about editing my private key to point to the right one? I don't see an option anywhere to select or see, which private key is being used?

    Hi,

please go to "Account settings" select "OpenPGP security" select "Use specific OpenPGP key ID" click on "Select Key...", then a window appears showing all available privat keys. Select the one you wish and you're done.

Please report back if the window appears empty with no private key to select.

    HTH

    Hi.

Thanks for the help! I should have the correct private key selected now.

However, I do have another problem and I do not know if it is on MY end or my friends end?
