since the last update of thunderbird in ubuntu I noticed that every signed message
I get back (via BCC) is marked as "signature verification failed" and all german
umlaute look like chinese characters.
Does anybody know whats going on ?

problem solved: in Preferences -> Display -> Advanced
I had to set the character encoding for outgoing and incoming
mails to UTF-8 (default seems to be Western).

I also had some strange issues with character encoding in signed messages, which were not reproducable. I'm still not sure, whether the reason was in Thunderbird or Enigmail. I'm still waiting for another occurence to start into debugging.
