As I feel I have reported somewhere before, periodically Thunderbird's right-click stops working, and I have reason to suspect (as I said in my previous report) that Enigmail is responsible. Indeed one reason for pointing the finger at Enigmail is this: disabling and re-enabling Enigmail fixes the problem - for a while. So does reinstalling Thunderbird.

This behaviour is a serious inconvenience. I am afraid that I cannot locate my previous report (perhaps because it is buried somewhere hard to find in this forum). I did find this seemingly similar problem.

I have the problem with the latest release version of Thunderbird, and of Enigmail, on Windows (Windows 10, but I had the problem on Windows 8.1 too). The problem has existed for years.

Well I'm sorry, but the way Enigmail works, it is not possible that it can actively stop right-clicks in Thunderbird.

    • Where precisely do you right-click without success?
    • What other add-ons do you have apart from Enigmail?
    • Is there any error in the Error Console (menu Tools > Developer Tools > Error Console) right after you try to right-click?

I am sorry for the lateness of this reply.

What I right-click without success emails shown in my inbox or in any other fold.

Other add-ons that I have installed and enabled: many (QuickFolders, Account Colours . .) but I seem to remember the following. When I disabled all of those addOns - whilst leaving Enigmail enabled - the problem persisted; whereas when I disabled Engimail, the problem did not persist.

Errors in the Error Console: I am afraid that I cannot tell at the moment, because currently I do not have the problem. Yet, the problem has proved intermittent in the past. Shall we leave this bug report open for a (further) while in case the problem reoccurs? If it does reoccur, I can supply more information.
