Can no longer set protected subject custom text?

I noticed that in the latest version (2.1.5) that when using protected subject it now uses the three dot "..." subject instead of the custom text. Is this no longer supported?

I tried to figure this out on my own by reading the changes that were implemented in the new version but it was way over my head :(

In order to be compatible with the latest version of the protected headers specification, that's no longer supported.
