Thunderbird Enigmail Setup Wizard Never Finishes Checking System Config

The Subject says it all. The wizard found GnuPGP (green check mark), Then the next line is centered ans says, "Checking your existing setup... with a black cursor chasing its tail in a clock-wise direction.

How long should this take, more than 15 minutes?

I'm running Kubuntu Linux 18.04.03LTS. AMD Phenom 2 core 3.2GHz with 8GB of RAM. Thunderbird has worked flowlessly for years. Please advise.

  I bet you're using Enigmail 2.1.4 or older. Please upgrade to Enigmail 2.1.5 - I fixed a bug for exactly this problem.

Actually, it's Enigmail 2.1.2. Thank you for the response and help. I'll upgrade immediately.
