    Hello,

I purchased Postbox 7 for Mac and would like to use Enigmail, but I’m having trouble finding information on setting it up. I emailed Postbox, but they said it’s a third party app and so couldn’t help me even with the settings in their app.

There’s also no mention of Postbox in the Enigmail handbook and no install info on the website or this forum.

While I’m new to Enigmail, I have been using GPG Mail on Apple Mail in concert with iPGMail for iOS (but it’s been years since I created keys and set up the apps, so my memory is blank). I would like to add my existing keys and create new ones for Enigmail.

I’d appreciate help especially regarding the settings in Postbox's Labs and Account. Many thanks in advance.

The differences between Enigmail for Postbox vs Enigmail for Thunderbird are relatively small. You need to download Enigmail for Postbox from our homepage. Then install it via the menu Tools > Labs in Postbox.

Usually, after some seconds, the Enigmail setup wizard should automatically be opened. It's a lot simpler than the one described in the handbook (we still need to update the handbook).

The main difference between Thunderbird and Postbox is that there is no Enigmail menu in the main message window. To access the Enigmail menu, compose a new message. There, you'll find the Enigmail menu. In case the setup wizard is not opened automatically, use the Enigmail menu to launch the setup wizard (menu Enigmail > Preferences > Setup Wizard).

    It's working well!

    Many thanks, Patrick.
