My question is: Can I change the settings in such a way, that the signature created with these subkeys are recognized correctly because I want to stay at this version at some clients?
TIA
Best regards

To answer your question: no, such a setting does not exist in Enigmail 1.7.x.
And to emphasise what Rob said: both Thunderbird and Enigmail had many severe security issues in the last 4 years. You sould urgently upgrade to a more recent version of both.

Hello,
I am using enigmail 1.7.2 at some Thunderbird clients.
There I got an error when receiving an pgp/mime email with thunderbird:
Enigmail-Sicherheitsinfo:
Fehler - Überprüfung der Unterschrift fehlgeschlagen
Öffentlicher Schlüssel xxxxxxxxxxxx zur Überprüfung der Unterschrift benötigt
FALSCHE Unterschrift von xxx xxx@xxxx.com
Enigmail log:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Gpg4win..\GnuPG\bin\gpg.exe" --charset utf-8 --display-charset utf-8 --batch --no-tty --status-fd 2 --fixed-list-mode --with-colons --list-keys xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This error doesn't occur with newer versions.
My question is: Can I change the settings in such a way, that the signature created with these subkeys are recognized correctly because I want to stay at this version at some clients?
TIA
Best regards
Please upgrade immediately. 1.7.2 is very very old and Enigmail has had
a number of security fixes since then.
