I have a problem when displaying signed emails in Outlook 2016. The signature information is shown in the message itself, some special characters of the message itself are escaped in some way. An example is attached.
The problem only occurs with signed and not encrypted messages, encrypted mails work fine. Also, only Outlook 2016 / office356 seems to be affected. We have no problem with webmailers (including OWA), Thunderbird or even Outlook 2007.
To send email, we use Thunderbird (60.2.1) with Enigmail 2.0.8 (20180804-1515) on Ubuntu. The problem first occured after the latest Thunderbird update, but since older versions of Outlook are not affected this might just be a coincidence.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and do you have any idea on how to debug it?
The problem doesn't seem to be widespread, can you point me in some direction on how to debug this? Do you need more information or is there something wrong in my settings?
Thanks,
Maxi

It looks like the message was modified after it was sent, either during transmission, or by Exchange.
There is not much you can do about in Enigmail.
Hi Patrick,
thanks for the reply! I'll see if I can get some info from microsoft then.
