Hi all, just getting started with Enigmail (latest Thunderbird on Ubuntu 12.04) following the QuickStart guide, but my key gen fails because I'm running Thunderbird under my personal account, but ~/.gnupg is owned by root, so I get a "Permission Denied" error.
I'm guessing that neither running Thunderbird as root, nor chown -R ~/.gnupg, is the correct solution here? Suggestions?
Thanks!

You have to make sure that ~/.gnupg is owned by yourself and not accessible for other users:
That fixed it, thank you!
