I'm using Thunderbird and Enigmal and found it is not really usable, the passphrase for the GPG key has to be entered way too often. So for every incoming mail it has to be entered twice. When an other mail from same sender arrives again without having Thunderbird closed in between, the passphrase has to be entered again - twice.
So is there a possibility to let the password for the GPG private key be stored during a complete session or at least for a time >1 minute?
Thanks!

Ok, so we have to go deeper for debugging. Which OS are you running? Which GnuPG and Enigmail versions? If GnuPG version is 2.0.x or 2.1, which passphrase agent?

Hi,
you can enter the passphrase caching time at Enigmail -> Preferences -> Basic Tab.
BTW: Did you ask a similar question about 18 hours ago? There was a post held for moderation. If it was yours, can I delete this pending post?
Sorry, no, I asked this question only once. Thanks for feedback, I'll check that!
Ok, this is not the reason, there already 5 minutes have been configured but it still asks twice for every mail - also within these 5 minutes.
