Encrypt mail for an address only when for others it is mandatory

    Hello,

I have a question: I have one internal address and one external address, and for both I have the public keys.
    - colleague@mycompany.com
    - partner@externalcompany.com
As a general rule, we don't use encryption in our company. But with this partner we want to exchange some confidential data (it is only me and mycolleague who have Enigmail installed)

I have tried many configuration, rules etc. but I cannot find a combination which allows me to:
    - send non encrypted messages when I send only to colleague@mycompany.com or together with others in MyCompany
    - send encrypted messages when I send to both colleague@mycompany.com and partner@externalcompany.com

The addresses might be in to, cc, and in different order.

How should I configure Enigmail (2.1.6) /Thunderbird (68.8.1) in order to achieve this?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    You achieve this as follows:

    • In the account manager, under OpenPGP Settings, set the defaults to "don't encrypt by default"
    • Create a single per-recipient rule for "partner@externalcompany.com", or better only for "@externalcompany.com" where you require encryption.
