Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click the Write button in the toolbar.
  2. Type the start of a recipient's name in the To: field (which starts focused) and click on an autocomplete result.
  3. Close the message and discard unsaved changes.
  4. Click on a message and then click the Forward toolbar button.
  5. Try to type a recipient name.

Actual results:

No text appears when typing.

Expected results:

Text appears in the To: field when typing.

I confirmed that this behaves correctly with Enigmail disabled. Note that the correct behaviour happens with Enigmail enabled if you forward a message immediately after launching Thunderbird. But the first time you use autocomplete on an address seems to break it. Writing a new message doesn't exhibit the problem, only forwarding. Also note that this behaved correctly with the previous Thunderbird release.

I can reproduce it. It happens only if the forwarded message contains an attachment.
