Actually found in 2.0b1:

I was asked to add trust for "my" PGP key yase@... in a pop-up dialog, while my actual mail address is se@....

Seems that some comparison accepts any characters prepended to my actual mail address, i.e.
^.*$mailaddr$ instead of only the full address as expressed by the pattern ^$mailaddr$.

In your account settings ("OpenPGP Security"tab): which of the two options below is active:

    • Use email address of this identity to identify OpenPGP key
    • Use specific key ID

Can you attach a debugging log file?

I'm using "Use email address ..." to select the identity.

I just reproduced the effect in a new Thunderbird session, but I've got to admit that I do not know how to create a Thunderbird debug log on macOS and where it will be placed. Please advise ...

Nevermind, I think I found the error already.
