"Legacy" addons like Enigmail are no longer properly supported in future versions of Thunderbird. We therefore need to move to an Embedded (Bootstrapped) WebExtension.

    Enigmail is now a restartless (Bootstrapped) addon. It's not yet a WebExtension, but I'm currently not sure if that's needed at all.

    Bootstrapped add-ons work fine on Thunderbird 60. It's likely that some changes will be required forThunderbird 65, which won't support bootstrapped add-ons anymore. It's yet unclear what will need to be done.
