Bug 23090 migrated from Mozdev.org

The result of printing a message varies depending on whether one prints
directly or throught the print preview of an INLINE signed message.

This is illustrated in the PDF (Attachment 1 [details]):

page 1
- inline signed message with an attachment, only the message body is signed
- printed from within "print preview", print is identical with what preview
showed

page 2
- inline signed message with an attachment, only the message body is signed
- printed directly through the menu >File>Print

page 3
- inline signed message with an attachment, (each) attachment signed separately
- printed from within "print preview", print is identical with what preview
showed

page 4
- inline signed message with an attachment, (each) attachment signed separately
- printed directly through the menu >File>Print

page 5
- PGP/MIME signed message with an attachment
- printed from within "print preview", print is identical with what preview
showed

page 6
- PGP/MIME signed message with an attachment
- printed directly through the menu >File>Print

Result of printing, depending on whether printed directly or through print
preview

[From the Enigmail users mailing list:] Steven has the problem that the
attachments aren't listed in the print preview AND in the direct print. The
print preview in the Attachment 1 [details] contains the pgp header and trailer (test 2).
If the message is printed or previewed with the pgp header and trailer the
attachments are listed. If the message is printed or previewed after checking
the signature the attachments are not showing up. The signature check seems to
somehow disable the attachment list.

[Comment from Olav:] So to investigate it might help to disable automatic
signature verificaton.

It's quite weird to see how the attachments are displayed. In case of HTML
mails, the attachments are displayed as "Header"; in case of plain text
messages as "frame" at the end of the mail. This is without Enigmail involved.
