No way to prevent picture pop-ups
OpenPGP addon for Mozilla Thunderbird

I have a small jpeg image on my key (subkey). This has been the case for a long time but I recently (Feb 2021) changed my key.
Now, when I select a message to view, a pop-up image is displayed and the message is not displayed until I close the image window. If the message has embedded images, then there is a further pop-up and the embedded image isn't displayed until a second pop-up image window is closed. This is very frustrating.
How can I prevent the pop-up display of the images on my key?
Thanks.
I believe that you configured a photo-viewer in your
gpg.conf
file. If that's configured, GnuPG will automatically open the photo viewer if a key contains a picture.Edit your
gpg.conf
file and comment out the line starting withphoto-viewer
Many thanks for the pointer to gnupg - sorted now.
I actually commented out:
#verify-options show-photos
(which I had recently uncommented...)
